When was the last time you had a burger that took your breath away? If you or your child are asthmatic, it may have been recently. Research is now finding that the food in our plates may literally be taking our breath away. A recent study unveiled a relationship between asthma and particular food items by highlighting the food items that actually reduce or eradicate asthmatic symptoms. It was found that fruit, vegetables and fish decreased and eradicated wheeze in subjects. The research asserts that this may be due to the protective components in fruit and vegetables like antioxidants and other nutritive elements that defend against asthmatic symptoms. High burger consumption, on the other hand, has been linked to the prevalence of greater instances of lifetime asthma. Further research is being done regarding this matter.
